Judith Gap is a small, rural community in central Montana. We will have 7 students in junior high and high school, and 18 in elementary. Two of the high school students will be foreign exchange students. Being so small, we do expect teachers to be flexible and schedule according to the needs of the students. We have high expectations from both students and teachers. Technology is expected to be fully integrated into the curriculum. JH/HS students have laptops and elementary students have iPads. Smart Boards are in almost every room. The cost of living here is relatively inexpensive. Rent runs about $300-$400 a month for houses in town. The town has a post office, gas station/repair shop/convenience store, a bar, café, assisted living facility, and two churches. Decent grocery shopping is within 20 miles, and three major cities, Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, are within a two hours. Salaries and benefits are currently being negotiated. Current first-year salary is $24,100. Benefits include free lunch, paid single health insurance (negotiated), 4 days of personal leave, and 12 days of sick leave. Coaching and bus driving may be available.   Although we are small in numbers, we cover a large geographically area in the center of Montana ranching country. This is a tight knit community. Fishing and hunting opportunities abound. Our ranching community is a staunch supporter of the school and with several openings for ranch hands and other local positions available for spouses.

These positions are open until filled. This website is frequently updated. (4/8/2014)
